Perry David Merriotte

Perry David Merriotte, 71, of 425 Sharon Church Road, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Allen Bennett Hospital. Born June 28, 1935, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late William Henry and Mattie Leila Sloan Merriotte. He was a retired marine technician, a former City of Spartanburg fireman, and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Survivors include a daughter, Terri L. Jordan of Spartanburg; three sons, William C. "Billy" Merriotte and Randy Stead Merriotte, both of Spartanburg, and David Scott Merriotte and his wife Kris of Inman; his companion, Lynne H. Miller of Greer; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2007, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Joe Dempsey. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. The family is at the home of his son, Scott Merriotte, 3825 New Cut Road, Inman.
