Pete Conde Baker II, 65, passed away on July 25, 2025, in Lutz, Florida. Born on August 19, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, Pete lived a life marked by humor, intelligence, and deep care for those around him.

A proud graduate of Hillsborough High School's Class of 1977, Pete went on to earn his LUTC (Life Underwriter Training Council) certification in 1993-an achievement that reflected his dedication to professional growth and excellence. His sharp wit and quick sense of humor made him a memorable presence in both his personal and professional circles. For Pete, sarcasm wasn't just a form of expression-it was a love language that brought laughter and connection to those fortunate enough to know him.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife, E. Marie Baker; his son, Eric Baker and daughter-in-law Katie; his cherished grandson, Logan Baker; and the family's adored granddog, Leeloo. He also leaves behind his sister, Jena Bengul. Pete was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Betty Hernandez; his father, Pete C. Baker; and his mother, Eileen S. Baker.

Those who knew Pete will remember him as a fun-loving and caring man whose presence could light up any room. His legacy lives on through the laughter he inspired and the love he shared with family and friends.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 4, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Idlewild Baptist Church 18333 Exciting Idlewild Blvd. Visitation at 2pm, Service at 3pm, Reception to follow

Pete has long been one of my favorite humans. Always positive and generous and kind to my family. This picture from Ginnie shows how much he really enjoyed every minute of his life. He will be greatly missed. RIP Pete.

Pete was like a second father to me. He DJ my sweet 16 birthday party and attended my wedding. It feels like you, Eric and Marie have always been in my life. I could always call him for advice. His laughter and the way he could talk to anyone making them feel like he's known you for years is what I will remember the most. I'm going to miss him dearly. My heart goes out to Marie, Eric and your family.

Pete impacted the lives of so many people including myself. I learned alot from him. I had a great deal of respect for him. He will be missed by so many, but Pete will continue to be with us in our memories and interactions with others. My sincere condolences to Marie and the family. Pete was one of the first people I met when I started working with the AIG crew. I could tell right there his passion for the industry and what a genuine guy he really was. I've learned a lot from him in many different categories (food, scotch, cigars, etc.) and I know he'd give the shirt off his back for anyone in need.
