August 20, 1929 - July 3, 2021
Rose Hill, Kansas - Rose Hill, Kansas resident Peter V. Bono, passed away on Saturday, July 3 at his home. He was 91 years of age. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 20, 1929, He earned several trade school certificates but enjoyed being a locksmith and an electrician the most. He was the proud owner of Pete's Service Shop for many years. He served his country in the U.S. Army covering a total of 12 years which included 1 1/2 years in the Korean War. Pete was a devoted member to several Christian Churches in the Wichita area. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, his son Sam Bono, his brother Nat Bono and sister Zina Loma and her husband Jesse. Surviving family members include his children Steven Bono (Patricia), Cheryl Denise Wood (Bruce), Becky Bono-Gerstner (Cristal). His adopted children Misty Chenoweth (Eric), Victor Bono (Tammy), and Veronica Bono. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
