Peter Stefan "Steve" Cordova

Peter "Steve" Cordova, 76, of Pittsburg, California, peacefully passed away in his sleep on October 16, 2023. Born on May 19, 1947, in Pittsburg, CA. Steve was an avid gardener, a passionate fisherman, a lover of Bible truth, and a devoted family man.

Steve dedicated 10 years of his life as a gardener at LMCHD, where he played a vital role in establishing the community garden. His wealth of knowledge in starting seeds and composting greens benefited many individuals. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Steve found solace in his faith and often shared his belief in the hope of the resurrection, comparing it to the germination of plants.

Steve is survived by his loving children: Stevie, Frankie, Rena, Matthew, Christine, and Roman. He also leaves behind a cherished legacy through his grandchildren: Alexia, Brea, Amelya, Alyvia, Taityanna, Romy, Ethan, Amaya, and Eliyah. His great-grandchildren, Charles, Everly, Abigail, Josiah, Iris, and Xochitl, brought him immense joy.
Steve also leaves behind his beloved siblings: Susan, Mark, Gilbert, Cesar, Fred, and Rex, as well as many other family members.

Preceding Steve in death were his parents, Gilbert and Kate, and his beloved wife, Mary. Throughout his life, Steve remained widowed, longing for the day he would be reunited with the love of his life "Mair".

A brief memorial service and internment will be held at Oakview Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 2500 E 18th St, Antioch, CA 94509, on November 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Following the procession, friends and family are invited to join in a Celebration of Life to honor Steve's memory.

Steve Cordova will be remembered for his green thumb, his love for his family, and his unwavering faith. His presence will be greatly missed, but his legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
