One of my dearest friends is Christine (Steve's daughter). The times that I talked with him at get togethers he was always stoic yet I can tell he had a loving energy about him. You can tell by the way he interacted with his children and grandchildren. He was a pillar for his family. I always told Christine I had a soft spot for him because he reminded me so much of my father. Come to find out our fathers' knew each other and were friends. When my Dad passed Steve came to his services and was so kind. It was such a source of comfort to see Steve there and to have shared stories of my Dad. It's that exact act of kindness that I will always remember him by. God Bless your family.

He was always the leader of the pack in everything we did or got into as childhood brothers. My memory's go back 74 years of my Big Brother. I hold a deep sadness that I will no longer be able to talk or see him for now. My Brother My Heart.

Dad,
While you were here, you were all that you could be. Although it is very painful to have you away, in my heart your memories will stay. In just a short while, Jehovah will call upon His sheep....and then you shall arise from your deep sleep. Until then, I will keep this promise close in my mind, as I wait for that wonderful day when it is you, I will search and find. There won't be any more tears or crying, for there won't be any more dying. Pain and suffering will be things of the past, for on that day, all things will have been made anew.....and at that time, Mom will be forever with you.

The main thing that I´ll remember about Steve is his absolute love of the scriptures. Steve had a deep love of knowing the scriptures. Anytime I´d run into Steve, he always had a scriptural thought to share. I also will remember passing LMC and looking over to see Steve gardening....rain or shine.
