Peter Czerkies Obituary
Born and remained in Joliet, Illinois, until Pete proudly served in the US Marine Corp in the Pacific theater during WWII. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker for 39 years at Hunters Point and Mare Island Naval Shipyards in California.
He loved the great outdoors and was quite a sportsman who was an outstanding fisherman and enjoyed camping, golfing as well as bowling.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara, and is survived by his three children Michael (Karen), Donald (Chris), JoAnne (Carl), seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and his siblings Jenny, Olga, and Ed.
A service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma on Friday, August 28 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or charity of your choice.
We miss you Dad.

I worked with Pete from 1968 to 1995, H.P.N.S./M.I.N.S. Pete was a good boss and person. Rest in peace Pete.

I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Pete, along with all my aunts and uncles, and parents. There are going to be some great "family picnics" in heaven now.
