Peter D'Attilio Obituary
Peter J. D'Attilio, formerly of Westwood, died Dec. 6, 2007.
He was the beloved son of John A. D'Attilio of Westwood and the late Hilda (Piccirilli) D'Attilio; brother of Susan Hourihan of Norwood and Anthony D'Attilio of North Attleboro; and dear friend of Dr. Philip Lieb of Yarmouthport. He is also survived by one niece and three nephews.
Funeral will be from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass will be in St. Denis Church, Westwood, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
A memorial week will be observed at Dr. Philip Lieb's home, 164 Marstons Lane, Yarmouthport, from 1 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Peter's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale St., Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Peter D'Attilio Memorial Fund, c/o Mt. Horeb Lodge AF & AM, Old Bass River Road, South Dennis, MA 02660. Mr. D'Attilio was late junior warden of the Mt. Horeb Lodge AF & AM.

Dear John, Susan and Anthony,
My Mother, Father and I were devastated by the news of Peter's passing. Having grown up next to you and sharing all of those years on Ash Street, our family is deeply saddened by your loss. Peter is a great person and has gone to heaven. I'm sure Chrissy and he have met and are looking down on all of us. We truely know how you feel. I am truly saddened by Peter's death. I went to the funeral and restaurant after with my sister Cheryl. We both love your family and thought of them like a second home.
