Peter KILBURN Obituary
1937-2015
Peter died at home in the Eastern Townships on October 14, 2015. He is survived by his wife Michèle Dutrisac, his sister Susan Kilburn and his children David (Tamara Peres), Sophie and Nicholas (Natasha Slabbert); his grandchildren Alexis, Valérie, Claire, Bridget, Ellie, Isabelle and Leah. Peter was predeceased by his parents Peter Kilburn and Helen Kilburn (Morris) of Montreal. The Kilburn and Dutrisac families will host a reception on Tuesday, October 20 from 4 p.m. followed by a tribute at 6 p.m. at the complexe Alfred Dallaire Memoria (4231 St-Laurent Blvd., Montreal) valet parking. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the UNHCR (unhcr.ca) or Dans la rue (danslarue.com).

It was very sad to hear the passing of our dear friend and colleague Peter Kilburn. We thought it is not too late to offer our deepest condolences and sympathy to you as we just heard the sad news yesterday. We remember our last visit to Peter and Michelle at their house in East Townships three years ago, and were very much impressed by Peter's commitment, attachment to the cause of protecting nature and environment. We hope that you will be fine with the life going on and we shall stay with you all the time.

To Michelle and family. Please accept our condolences on Peter's passing. While we have lost touch in the years since Peter was at CIC, he provided guidance to many of his then young colleagues that has never been forgotten and on the occasions when our paths crossed after you returned to Quebec, it was always a pleasure to spend time with him.

I write to you from Sydney, Australia where I have been in contact with Peter since August 2015. He has been most generous in sharing our mutual Robertson & Campbell family history. I am shocked and saddened to hear of his sudden death. Please accept my sincere condolences at this very sad time. Peter wrote to me as recently as 14th October. I would love to hear from members of his family at any time.

Dear Sue,
Our thoughts are with you. I have very many happy memories of the Kilburn/Morris clan at Tremblant, including Big Pete, Helen, Angie Morris and Kimmy the black Labrador. Much has changed at the Lake, and so many old friends are no longer with us, but warm memories of that halcyon time will never fade.
