Pete was born on Dec. 7, 1968 in Falls Church, Va., the son of Robert and Dolly (Morris) Klose of Quartzite, Ariz.
He married Pamela Kay Henning in Clarence Center, N.Y., on July 22, 2000.
He graduated from Glastonbury High School and from the University of Connecticut. He worked as a senior application developer for Aetna Insurance Company, Cromwell.
Pete loved fishing, hunting, working with his hands and especially on his motorcycle. He was an avid Yankee fan and UConn men's basketball fan and loved doing crosswords in his spare time. He loved spending time with his children, family and friends. He was a rare individual who could bring joy to the lives of all that he touched. Pete had a special gift of knowing how to be a friend to many people and it was this gift that he shared.
Besides his wife Pam and his parents he is survived by his 3 1/2 year old son, Benjamin, and his 1 1/2 year old son, Alexander; a brother, Rob Klose; three sisters, Tracy Skinner, Alison Klose and Stephanie Gundrum; his in-laws, Joe and Cheryl Henning; five neices and nephews and one great-niece.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19th, at 11 O'clock at the Groton Bible Chapel, 66 Toll Gate Road, Groton. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 18th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Pete’s family. I met Pete while working on the same team at Aetna in Middletown. We would chat about his boys, Colorado, Western NY and the Designer I sewing machine. He introduced me to Thai food. I’ll always remember his love for his family and outdoor sports but most of all his humor. May God bless you and keep you.

I have had many friends who have passed at early ages, but the passing of Peter is the hardest for me to accept. Not only was Pete a unique individual whose friendship was valued by all who knew him, but also like myself, a father of a young family. Pete was a father that all boys dream about: love of fishing, hunting, riding motor cycles, working on cars, well educated, and a fantastic role model for what it takes to be a kind, considerate, fun- loving human being. Pete will always be respected and never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. God Bless.

My family's deepest sympathy and prayers go to Bob and Dolly, and Pete'swife and children. Pete lived across the street for a time and was a dear friend of my son, David. He was a ray of sunshine and always ready to help a friend ,like his father. When i bought a gas grill that needed to be put together, along came Pete and his friend Mike and put it together in 5 minutes. And laughed and joked about how easy it was...He was a good person and will be greatly missed. God rest his soul, and God bless his family.

I met Peter as a contractor on a project at Aetna in 2004. Peter was one of the few employees on the project and was always available to answer questions and was just a great guy to talk to and very warm and friendly with everyone he met.
I just returned to Aetna last month as an employee and was happy to see him. One of the reasons I decided to become an employee was that I liked the people I had worked with and Peter was at the top of the list. He has many friends here and although I am in another area of Aetna his name came up last week as he was helping someone I currently work with. This was no surprise. I will miss him a lot and remember him for the warm and giving person that he was.
With My Deepest Sympathy.
