Peter Nush Obituary
Peter Nush, 88, of 4246 Main St., Whitehall, died April 18. He was married to Julia (Simock) Nush for 60 years. He was a supervisor for the former American Safety Co., Whitehall, for 30 years retiring in 1987. Born in Egypt, he was the son of the late Paul and Tekla (Gulla) Nush Sr. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. A veteran of World War II, he was a 1st Sergeant in the 4th Armored Division of the Army under the command of Gen. George Patton. Survivors: Wife; son, Peter G. and his wife Bernadette of Northampton; daughters, Barbara of Whitehall, Annette, wife of Kenneth Longley of Nazareth; sisters, Mary of Whitehall, Anna Lauser of Whitehall, Nancy Krynack of Whitehall, Catherine Macsisak of Whitehall, Irene, wife of John Mitch of N. Whitehall Twp.; brothers, John of Schnecksville, Paul Jr. of Allentown; grandchildren, Peter G. Jr., Audrey, Jason, Amber, Tyler, great-grandchildren, Alexa and Pierce. He was predeceased by a sister, Rose Radon. Services: 9:30 a.m., Monday, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay. Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m., Monday, in the church. Call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Contributions: To the church c/o the funeral home.

I worked with Pete about five years; he was a hard worker with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed a wonderful life.

May Peter's goodness and the love of the Lord he possessed continue to shrine brightly through each of you, keeping his memory alive.
