PATON, Peter Allan Peter Allan Paton, 69, Ardness, NS, formerly of Ottawa and Hamilton, ON, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2005 in the Aberdeen Regional Hospital, New Glasgow, NS. Born in Hamilton, he was a son of the late Peter and Ethel (Crosthwaite) Paton. Prior to retiring in 1993, he was a Systems Analyst with the Department of Employment and Immigration. Peter was Past High Commissioner of Clan Donald Canada, Past Membership Chair of Clan Donald Nova Scotia and Past Branch Commissioner of Clan Donald Pictou County. He cherished his extended Scottish family and greatly enjoyed a variety of music. Peter was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Deborah Mae "Debbie" Graham; daughters, Brenda Louise Paton, Saundra Jane Paton, Hamilton; son, Andrew Charles (Slavica) Paton, Mississauga, ON; step-sons, Mark Hickling, Ottawa; Andrew Hickling, Kanata, ON; grandchildren, Jordan and Ashley; brother, David (Diane) Paton, Hamilton; nieces, Cathy Scott and Virginia (John) Kinchsular; nephew, Dan (Lina) Paton; several grandnieces and grandnephews. Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, NS. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gail Johnson officiating. Cremation to follow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in his memory to the Betty MacDonald Bursary Fund for Celtic Culture or Aberdeen Palliative Care Society. Love his kind voice, his eyes, his smile. Love his fun laugh, his heart, his style- Love that hes mine, Love being his wife. Love my sweet man, the love of my life. - Love forever, Debbie
