Pryor, Peter M. ALBANY Peter Malachia Pryor, 95, a trailblazing Black civil rights lawyer and activist who worked in Albany, passed away, fittingly, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 17, 2022. A column written by noted author and biographer, Paul Grondahl, and published in the Albany Times Union, describes the life and legacy of Peter M. He left behind his beautiful wife, Barbara; his children, Cynthia, Guinevere, Peter (Debra), Robert, and Marcus (Cindy); 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two children, James and Carlton. Peter's funeral service has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 29, at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of All Saints, 62 South Swan St., Albany. The Mass may be viewed at https://tinyurl.com/4ju2mkz2. Memorial contributions may be made to his alma mater, Albany Law School, where a scholarship fund has been established in Mr. Pryor's honor.
