Age 47 of Pittsburgh on Friday , March 3, 2017. Son of Dorothy and the late Richard Rossi, Sr; brother of Richard, Jr., Anthony, Joseph and Elizabeth; uncle of Karis and Joshua Rossi. Visitation Tuesday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10418 Perry Hwy., Wexford. Funeral mass Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Alexis Church, Wexford.

I would like to send my condolences. It has been a long time since my husband Jim and I have talked with him. We were really taken back when we heard the terrible news. We can not wrap our heads around it. We are so sorry. We used to be tenants of his back in the 90s on the Northside and he was a great guy. We had a lot in common. We loved Music!!! There was something very special about him and we always would speak about him long after we moved out.

Pete rossi was my best friend & the most brutal guitarist in pgh there r many greats in pgh but no one with the kindness not a egotistical bone in his body !!!! My friend should have been the most egotistical monster on the planet like most lead or guitar players That think they r something not Pete he will go down as the baddest most killer guitarist in pgh my best friend changed my life for the better by teaching me 2 be a kinder person!!! I miss him so much I still can't listen to his remake of his favorite guitarist Chris Olivia the guitarist of savitage who is in heaven with Pete! Can't get through petes version if u don't know it look it up on you tube petes version of summers rain if u knew him like I did u will cry your eyes out miss u Pete I will never forget you

So sorry we couldn't pay our respects in person. We just found out by chance of looking up someone else. Terrence always tells ppl how you taught him guitar and we had a lot of fun watching you play. You're gonna be missed and now heaven's getting one more too soon. You'll be missed.

Again, Pete will be dearly missed by many, he was a really kind and talented guy. Me and my wife were thinking back in the day when we first met Pete in early 1988 when he answered my add looking for dedicated musicians to form an original Christian metal band, called Sanxtion. So talented, along with his brother Tony, who was our drummer. Add our awesome bassist Chris Bedford. We had many great times we were together for almost 3 years. I remember the song's we wrote together about how real and true God is, and the lives our songs touched. Even our oldest kids Paul & Sharayah, who were little at that time, have many fond memories of Pete. Lord, be with the Rossi family and comfort their hearts, as well as our hearts. Love you Pete, always......

My deepest sympathy to Petes family, his love Kathy and all his friends.
I worked with Pete for a few years and became friends with him. He gave me the best wedding gift when he offered to play in my church for my wedding.
I had been going to watch him play in the bands he was in as often as I could.
When he offered I looked at him and said what would you play because all I ever heard him play was Rock and heavy metal. He laughed and said classical music, I said I didn't know you could do that. We had a laugh about it. He played beautiful music for me on the happiest day of my life and I will be forever grateful.
Pete was a kind generous man, who I am thankful was my friend

I kept meaning to come see you play since I moved back to Pittsburgh but kept putting it off. This is a perfect example of how we should sieze the day because tomorrow is never guaranteed. Love and bright blessings to you Pete and your family. Heaven is a more beautiful now with you and your music!

Pete helped my get back into music a few years back, and then I was able to make my dream of recording an album come true.

To the Rossi family, out hearts are so heavy for the loss of Pete, and we are praying for all of you for God's sustaining strength, and comfort. Pete was such a talented man, and I recall meeting him the first time back in 1988 and was amazed then how talented he was. Me and my wife Kathy have many good memories of Pete when he was in the band back then. He was such a kind and good friend and had a great sense of humor.
