PETER L. SALVAGGIO

SALVAGGIO, Peter L. 83 of Norwell died November 26 at his home after a period of failing health. He was born, raised and educated in Quincy and was the son of the late Salvatore and Lucia (Poliatti) Salvaggio. Peter was a 50 year resident of Norwell where he raised his family. He is survived by his loving wife Esther (Blanchard) Salvaggio and was predeceased by his first wife Vincenza (Maltese) Salvaggio. Loving father of Lucia Snow and her husband Glenn of Marshfield and Joyce Arnold of Hanover and stepfather of Stephen Lally of Marshfield,VincentLallyof Brockton and Kenneth Lally of Lakeville and grandfather of David and Scott Snow of Marshfield and Alicia Durfee and her husband Jay of Hanover and Rachel Arnold of Venice, CA. He is also survived by his brother Anthony of Braintree, John of Braintree, Robert of Rockland and his sister Grace Calvi of Stoughton and was predeceased by his brother Richard. Peter was the owner and operator of Glenwood Sheet Metal in Quincy for over 30 years. He loved to travel and enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife, Esther. Peter proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St., in ROCKLAND on Thursday from 4-8PM. Service in the funeral home on Friday at 10:00AM. Interment in Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell.
