Peter Sokolowski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 13, 2025.
Peter Paul Sokolowski passed away on April 13, 2025, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Born on June 19, 1947, in Munich, Germany, Peter lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to country, and commitment to his profession.

Peter proudly served in the United States Air Force from August 21, 1967, to February 20, 1969, achieving the rank of Airman First Class (A1C). His time in the military reflected a deep sense of duty and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life.

Following his military service, Peter embarked on a long and accomplished career with Sikorsky Aircraft. Over the course of 45 years, he contributed significantly to the company's mission and success. At the time of retirement, Peter held the position of Quality Electrical Leadman-a role that exemplified his technical expertise and leadership.

Beyond his professional achievements, Peter found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer who appreciated the time spent on the green, an activity that reflected his love for challenge. And his love of sports was reflected as he was a great fan of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys.

Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathryn Sokolowski. He is remembered with love by his brother Richard Sokolowski; daughter Jennifer Sokolowski; son Brian Sokolowski; and grandchildren Brett Williams, Brittany Williams, and Emma Williams.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life well lived. A Memorial Gathering will be held on May 17, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM at The Savannah Club 3492 Crabapple Dr, Port St Lucie, FL.
