Peter Straus

STRAUS, Peter John April 6, 1972 - April 3, 2011 Peter John Straus passed away in Kamloops, B.C., just short of 39 years of age. Peter was born in Mississauga, Ontario and was raised in Calgary, Alberta. He spent his recent years in Salmon Arm and Kamloops. Peter was educated as an electronic technician at Kamloops College of the Caribou, and most recently worked for Shaw Cable as a planner. He enjoyed Shaw and his fellow employees. Peter was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Marion Cary and his paternal grandfather Ernest Straus. Left to mourn are his fiance Tara Shishido of Kamloops, her daughter Presley, Peter"s mother Frances Straus, father Douglas Straus, sister Kimberly Shannon, brother-in-law Kelly Shannon, nephew Riley Shannon, niece Cary Shannon, grandmother Rosalie Straus, and grandfather William Cary. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 15, 2011 at Hope Lutheran Church, 3527 Boulton Road N.W., Calgary, AB.
