Philip Agisim Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 30, 2022 to Jan. 8, 2023.
On the day the world lost sporting royalty, Pelé, the Agisim family lost our patriarch. Philip Agisim graced the earth for 13 days shy of his 104th birthday. As time evolved, one thing remained consistent, Philip's consummate grace & humanity, full of humor, kindness, patience, perseverance & love. His high school quote, "When Love & Skill Go Together, Expect a Masterpiece", defined his life's ambition, fulfilled. Predeceased by parents Isidore & Jennie, sisters Sylvia, Rose Miller & Molly Lobe. Survived by devoted sons Leslie (Judith) & Elliot (Laura), grandchildren Taylor, Keith (Debbie), & Alissa (Jeffrey Wolf) & great grandchildren Samantha, Jonah, Sadie & Lance. With a BS from Rutgers, he served as a Sergeant in the US Army radar repair unit during WWII. After, he earned an MBA from New York University. Philp rose through his career from a researcher at Crowell-Colliers to become the CEO & Vice Chairman of the leading ad agency, Parkson Advertising (in-house for JB Williams & acquired by Nabisco). He oversaw memorable campaigns for Geritol, Sominex & Aqua Velva, featuring iconic stars, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. & Shirley Jones. Philip worked until his late 90's, maintained a daily workout regimen, was an avid golfer & longest member of The Friars Club. Celebration of Philip's life & funeral Jan 1st 1:00pm, Plaza Memorial Chapel, 630 Amsterdam Ave. Shiva Jan 2nd 6:00-8:00pm, Park Avenue Synagogue, 50 E. 87th St.
