Mr. Philip J. Castellano

Philip J. Castellano, 69, of Port St. Lucie, passed away, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice residence in Stuart, FL. Mr. Castellano was born in Brooklyn, NY. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past twenty-five years coming from Staten Island, NY. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for the City of New York Sanitation Department for twenty years and was able to retire at 43 years old. He later started a small landscaping business to keep busy and enjoy the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Leida Castellano. Survivors include his mother, Serafina Castellano of Port St. Lucie, FL; two sons, Vincent Castellano; Philip Castellano, Jr. both of Port St. Lucie, FL; one sister Annette Leyland of Palm City, FL. A Gathering will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Forest Hills-Byrd, Young & Prill Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL. A Memorial will follow at 7:00 pm in our chapel.
