Philip was born on March 31, 1928 and passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017. Philip was a resident of Upper Saint Clair, Pennsylvania at the time of passing. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, Phil (also known as Wink, Papa Winkie and PW) served as an Army staff sergeant in Korea prior to the war, graduated from Rutgers University and had a long career with ALCOA in Pittsburgh. If desired, memorials may be made to Friendship Village Employee Appreciation Fund, Pittsburgh or Summer Street Church, Nantucket.

The Simpson family lived next door to the Coffins on Jefferson Drive. My husband and Wink were close friends for years. My husband, John died in March of this year and I know was there to welcome Wink to his heavenly home. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
