Philip Alan "Flip" Klasson

Philip Alan Klasson, known affectionately as Flip, passed away on September 5, 2024, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 69. Born on January 29, 1955, in Weymouth, Flip was a free spirit and a child at heart who lived a life marked by passion and loyalty.

Flip dedicated many years of his life to Allied Trades DC 35, where he excelled as a glazier until his retirement. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of many interests. Flip was known for his love of motorcycles, riding year-round and making annual trips to Daytona. He was also an avid reader, a fan of westerns, and a talented musician, playing both the guitar and piano. Flip cherished his time spent at Sampsons Pond with his wife, Christine. "BUMPA" as he was known to his grandson Billy was such a positive influence. They spent hours having adventures, he taught Billy how to ride his motorcycle, took road trips and made countless memories.

Flip's life was enriched by his deep personal relationships. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 52 years, Christine McKinnon Klasson; his daughter, Regis Klasson; and his grandson, William D. Barnes the 3rd He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Betty Klasson. He is also survived by his 2 sisters.

A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks to honor Flip's memory and legacy. His life's journey, marked by his vibrant spirit and enduring loyalty, will be remembered by all who knew him.
