CRYSTAL LAKE - Phillip V. Bell, 61, of Crystal Lake, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, at his home.
He was born July 1, 1944, in Chicago, to the late Vincent and Marie (Mangold) Bacik. On Sept. 8, 1967, he married Cynthia Lynn Menolasino at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock.
He was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel of Crystal Lake, Wonder Lake Bible Church, and St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock. He graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1962, and was the owner of McNeil's, Fat Phil's, Godfather Pizza, and Mister Donut. He was a Sunday school teacher, an Awana leader, and Sunday school superintendent.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Chris (Colleen) Bell of Woodstock, Meredith (Brian) Marburger of Caledonia, Ohio, Matthew (fianc & eacute;e Denise Woodside) Bell of Crystal Lake and Rachel Bell of Crystal Lake; three granddaughters, Emily and Leah Marburger, and Olivia Bell; a sister, Mary (Fred) Dickman of Wonder Lake; a brother, Joe Bell; a brother-in-law, Robert (Jacqui) Menolasino of McHenry; two sisters-in-law, Susan Menolasino of McHenry and Carol Menolasino of McHenry; two nieces, Lisa Menolasino and Molly (Chad) Miller; and a nephew, Mike Menolasino.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Arthur Bell; and an infant son, William "Billy" Bell.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. It will continue from 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, until the 11 a.m. service at Wonder Lake Bible Church.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood.
Memorials may be made to Harvest Bible Chapel in Crystal Lake.
