I went to school with Phillip from the 1st grade thru the 12th!! I too remember his artistic abilities ( and how he always had his tongue sticking out of his mouth each time he was drawing anything!!) May God give you His comfort in this time of sorrow.

I haven't seen Phillip seen high school. But one never forgets those they hold in their heart with the fondness of memories. To me, Phillip was always the smart quiet one and wise beyond his years. He was creatively and artisticly gifted. Those memories will always be there for me. My deepest sympathy to the Kingston family.

From the first day of school to the last, Phillip and I were classmates. I am saddened at the news of his passing. Phil was a nice guy, and I only have good memories of him. My sincere sympathy to the Kingston family.

words can not say the sorrow I have for your loss, I too, was a classmate at Oak grove. I had not seen Philip in a long time , but with a class as small as, the one we were in, everyone was family!

To all of the Kingston family, I send my love and sympathy. At Oak Grove, Phillip usually sat behind me in a row, since his last name ended with a K, and mine ended with a J (Jackson). Even now I fondly remember Phillip hurrying through his math lesson in 2nd grade to reap the reward of getting a Childcraft (I think) encyclopedia to look at an illustration and to faithfully draw it for himself. He truly amazed me with his drawing talent. Had we the opportunity to take art classes in school, as Arkansas students do today, I am certain that Phil would have excelled! In high school, he continued to amaze me with his ability to be a "man for all seasons" with wonderful academic abilities and athletic prowess. I am still in shock that he is gone. The Class of 1968 is much poorer for our loss of Phil. Please let us know if there is some lasting memorial that the classmates could contribute to. May God bless and strengthen you during this difficult time of loss. With love and care, Leola (Jackson) Atchison
