A bottle (or two) of Beck's in the Marquis of Granby, a round of pool and a bag of wisecracks. My coolest friend. See you around Phoebe. Martin xxx

Dear Phoebe - Fond memories of our time as neighbours in Wandsworth Bridge Road, and so lovely to catch up with you again in Castello, although all too briefly. Lots of love, Tish and Jeff xx

From Bob K: We had a very nice gathering for our as Eric put it 'spikey' but much loved friend (Umbertide 28th April) - there were about 50 there - apropo of nothing imparticular I thought I would share these anecdotes that have been rolling in my mind - please share these with whomever - some of you may have heard these
- we would be having a conversation - she constantly interrupted - I would say 'can I please finish a thought' her reply - 'I would let you if only you had anything interesting to say'
- I went into her hospital room - I ask 'what can I do to entertain you' her reply 'for a start you can untuck your shirt - how many times do I have to tell you how fat that makes you look'
- in hospital she was taking pictures - wanted to put camera away - I had lens cap and attempted to replace it - she says 'give me that I'll do it' - I say 'I can do it - why is it you always think I am incompetent' her reply ' years of exposure'
