Naples - We regretfully announce the peaceful passing on 30 December 2023 of Phyllis M. Bouchard of Naples, Florida (formerly of Marco Island, FL, Canton, MA, and Barnstable, MA) widow of John R. (Jack) Bouchard (the love of her life). Phyllis is survived by her five children, sons Paul (of Ashfield, MA), Rick (of Cape Cod, MA) and Glen (of Haiti) as well as daughters and sons-in-law Cheri and Jim Jardine (of Norton, MA) and Sue and Cary Will (of Canton, MA). Phyllis also cherished her 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Phyllis was born in 1929 and grew up in Cambridge, MA. She graduated from St. John's High in Cambridge in 1946, from Regis College in Waltham, MA in 1950 and worked as a Social Worker until her marriage in 1952. She earned a Master's degree in Library Sciences in 1975 from Bridgewater State University and worked as a School Librarian for 20 years in the public school system of Norwood, MA. Phyllis and Jack enjoyed over 25 years of retirement in both Southwest Florida and Cape Cod before moving in 2015 to the Arlington of Naples. Until the end of her life, Phyllis had a passion for playing Mah-jongg. She was an avid reader and was known for sharing good books with her family and many friends. Her kindness and generosity will be long remembered, as will her gratitude for blessings and her zest for living. Funeral services will be held at James H. Delaney & Sons Funeral Home in Walpole, MA on Saturday, 3 February at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Phyllis' name may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America New England Chapter or to Habitat for Humanity.
