Phyllis Carr Obituary
Phyllis retired from the Kentucky Division of Forestry after a dedicated career, having previously worked at the Kentucky Division of Probation and Parole.
She is survived by her brother, Ellis Leon Blair (Patsy), Sister-in-law, Doris Blair (Leroy), her daughter Deborah "Debbie" Carr, her son Duane Carr (Cheryl), four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Devine Blair, her father, Walter Leroy Blair, her brother, Curtis Leroy Smith Blair, her husband Marion Anthony Carr, and her son Darren Alan Carr.
There will be a celebration of life held for Phyllis at The Vineyard Christian Fellowship at 201 S. Mulberry Street, Elizabethtown, Ky 42701, on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

I didn´t know your mom well, but the few times I was with her, she was very kind. What I do know and witnessed through my friendship with you, was that your mom loved her family and dedicated her life to being there for her loved ones.

I remember when Phyllis come over for a dinner one time with me and Darren and I was peeling potatoes and she was standing next to me and told me that I was peeling more then the skin off those potatoes and we looked at each other and we both started laughing.

When me and Darren was living together, she came over to help cook, and she made fun of me for the way that I peeled my potatoes and said that I was wasting more of my potatoes then the skin that I was cutting off, and we both laughed.
