Phyllis Jean Crossland, 68, of Muskogee passed away early Wednesday, March 12, 2008. She was born April 11, 1939 in Muskogee, the daughter of William Luther and Alma Lovella (Martindale) Hatfield.A graveside service for Phyllis will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2008 at Greenhill Cemetery.Phyllis received her Master’s degree in education from Northeastern State University. She taught elementary school for more than 25 years in Muskogee Public Schools. In her spare time, Phyllis enjoyed bowling and baseball.Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, Thomas Mack Crossland; her three children: Cynthia Crossland of Tulsa; Candice Juergens and her husband, David of Bixby and Scott Crossland of Ft. Worth, TX; her sister, Janice Preston of Irving, TX and her brother, Bill Hatfield of Lake Eufaula, OK.The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.Friends may send condolences to the family on the web page www.bradleyfuneralservice.com.
