Phyllis was very kind to me when I spent a year as a French assistant at Our Lady's High School, Motherwell in 1974-75. She introduced me to cock-a-leekie soup and treated me to a wonderful Scottish cream tea in the Scottish borders. I am very sorry that she passed away in January 2019. May she rest in peace!
