I knew Phyllis through our mutual participation with the member groups at the Midland Center for the Arts, particularly our service on the Music Society's Volunteer Relations Committee. Phyllis was the voice of experience while serving on the committee, advocating for the volunteers and sharing her wisdom gained through her many years with the Chorale and the musical productions. Phyllis was a joy to work with, always gracious and understanding, and she couldn't resist bringing some cookies or other baked goods to every committee meeting. She was a wonderful lady, and will be missed by all of us who knew her.

I was Phyllis' across the street neighbor on Westbrier Terrace for as long as she lived there. A marvelous baker, she often shared her bakery with me.
