Josephine M. Kosack Campbell

Josephine M. Kosack Campbell, 72, of Second Mountain Road, Pine Grove, passed away Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center‑South Jackson Street.

Born in Roedersville, March 26, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Allen J. and Martha E. Jamison Herring.

She was affiliated with St. John's Reformed Church, Friedensburg, and was a 1953 graduate of Pine Grove High School.

She was employed as a waitress/hostess for Red Lion Cafe & Dusselfink.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Kosack, on Sept. 18, 1974; a son, Raymond Kosack, on July 3, 1980; her second husband, Thomas Campbell, on Dec. 23, 2004; two sisters, Roma Herring and Fern Roeder; and a brother, Delton Herring.

Surviving are three sons, Bruce Kosack, husband of Kathleen, Joseph Kosack, husband of Denise, and Jeffrey Kosack, all of Pine Grove; a stepson, Thomas Campbell, husband of Carol, Pine Grove; a stepdaughter, Lynn, wife of Drew Fitch, Maine; two granddaughters, Kelly Friend and Stacey Kosack; three grandsons, Scott Kosack, Joseph Kosack and Jonathan Kosack; two stepgrandsons, Cole Campbell and Nicholas Fitch; two great-granddaughters, Cassandra Friend and Molly Drumheller; two great-grandsons, James Friend and Ty Drumheller; four sisters, Ardith Moyer, Schuylkill Haven, Lucille Reichert, Pine Grove, Reba Taylor, Harrisburg, and Janice Arnold, Mechanicsburg; and three brothers, Sterling Herring, Reading, Allen Herring, Pottsville, and Dennis Herring, Cressona.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Friedensburg.
