Phyllis Jensen Obituary
Phyllis G. Jensen, 92, died peacefully Friday, April 21st at the Solon Care Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Monday, April 24th at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City with Rev. Rebecca Carver officiating. Graveside Committal will be at 4 PM, Monday at River View Cemetery in Algona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Phyllis was born February 16, 1925 in Ft. Dodge. On December 7, 1957 Phyllis married Duane Jensen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Phyllis moved to Iowa City in 2008 and was a resident at Melrose Meadows.
Survivors include her four children, Gregory (Darlene) Hatch of Panama City Beach, FL, Kathleen (James) Kikendall of Iowa City, Christine (Luther) Fairbanks of Indianola and Carol (Philip) Rosenbaum of Edina, MN; three grandchildren, Anne (Tracy) Sudbrock, Sam and Alexa Rosenbaum; great grandchildren, Trey and Abigail Sudbrock; great great grandchild, Kaden Sudbrock.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane in 2008 and two grandsons, Justin and Travis Fairbanks.
