Etrulia "Trudy" Johnson, a beacon of love and faith, passed away on July 19, 2024, at Magnolia Manor in Inman. Born on August 30, 1947, in Spartanburg, SC, Trudy lived a life characterized by her loving nature, her thoughtful gestures, and her unwavering faith.
Trudy's life was one of vibrant engagement with the world around her. Her hands, always busy, created warmth and beauty through her passion for gardening, crocheting, and knitting. These interests were not just hobbies but were ways she connected with her loved ones and the community, leaving a legacy of handmade treasures and flourishing gardens.
She is survived by her devoted son, Chad McCollum; her adoring grandsons, Mason Grant McCollum and Tristan Everett McCollum; her beloved granddaughters, Kristina and Roxanne Martin; and Jennifer Martin (Lynn).
Trudy's life was a reflection of her values—every action and every word was imbued with love and consideration for others. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys with grace and resilience.
As we bid farewell to Trudy, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless lives she touched. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those who knew her. Trudy's legacy of kindness, generosity, and faith will continue to inspire and guide us all.
