PHYLLIS NANNEY

NANNEY, PHYLLIS January 28, 1917 to July 7, 2012 Phyllis died peacefully in her sleep on July 7th at the age of 95. For the past four years she had lived in an assisted living facility but was relatively healthy. To keep her mind sharp she delighted in puzzles such as the New York Times crossword which she did daily. Phyllis was born in Sheldon, IA to parents who had immigrated from Holland. She had two sisters and one brother who preceded her in death. Her husband of 63 years went to be with the Lord 10 years ago. She was a homemaker all of her life, raising two children, Paul of El Cajon and Becky Trim (Ron) of Palm Desert. She also is survived by granddaughters Loree Atkins (Jason) of Spring Valley and Jen Kelley (Mike) of El Cajon. Phyllis was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was recently honored for her faithful service in the preparation of food for various church functions. A Memorial Service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2930 Howard Ave., San Diego on Saturday, July 14th at 2:00 p.m.
