Pierre Corriveau Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from May 4 to May 8, 2021.
Pierre André Corriveau

Pierre André Corriveau, 65, died April 25th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newport, Vermont on July 26th, 1955 to Hervé and Lise Corriveau, Pierre was the second oldest of seven brothers and one sister. He grew up near the Vermont-Quebec border and graduated in 1973 from North Country Union High School. Pierre retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and continued working in the public sector, first for the City of Phoenix and later for Maricopa County.

Pierre is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years Marian, adoring children Samantha and Nicholas, beloved daughter-in-law Mackenzie, favorite and only sister Louise, older brother Yves, godson Brian, nephews Adam and Alex, and nieces Natalie and Julie. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Gaëtan, Bruno, and Daniel. Pierre enjoyed numerous hobbies including hockey and soccer in his youth, golf, and was a lifelong enthusiast of the outdoors. He was involved with several clubs including Volkswagen owners, gold prospectors, and numismatists, and volunteered for the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency in case of a radiological emergency. Bringing a joke, his smile, laughter, and love of life wherever he went are a few of Pierre's enduring qualities. His dedication to his family has no comparison and he directly and indirectly touched many lives.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday May 8th, 2021 from 8-10am at Pioneer Community Park near the east end of Pioneer Lake, 8755 N 83rd Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345. Enter via Olive, 1 block east of 83rd ave. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the 100 Club of Arizona or Arizona Game and Fish.

God bless you brother! Just found out you have moved on to the big dump in the sky. Had great times. Much love and blessings for you and your family.

My condolences for your lost of pierre. He always greeted you with his friendly smile, and he could easily bring laugher in to conversations. He was a great friend of mine too, and I will miss him. When the Park n Ride opened in our area of town in 2007, Pierre, I as well as the first few others waited for the first bus, Pierre and I grabbed the first back seats like excited kids. He and I cracked up because all of the bus seats had little padding, they were super small, and the side had a square pole that literally forced you to cram inplace. As we took off to downtown, we had to grab a hold of the railing in front of our seats because our bus operator drove like a New York taxi driver, too fast. We laughed so hard as we joked that it was like being in a roller coaster. And few ladies nearly fell off of the seats from his speeding around the I10 curve and through the downtown area. Needless to say, we had a new operator a few rides later. I hope this made some laugh because I know that Pierre would be.
Rest in peace my friend Pierre.
Your friend,
Eileen

Pierre was absolutely one of the nicest people I have ever met. Every time I ran into him at work he was just positive, pleasant and fun to talk with. He also remembered everyone's name and called you by your name. He will be greatly missed.
