We've lost a human treasure! Although Don Tino is no longer with us physically, his legacy as one of the most genuine and compassionate people will live on in the very souls of everyone who was privileged to have been touched by him.

Don Tino was a unifier, always striving to connect people and build relationships. If you know someone who is Dominican or Latino outside of your family circle, it's likely because of Don Tino. We met him through our daughter, Brittney, and by pure coincidence when he noticed her Dominican bumper sticker, and the rest was history. Without me even meeting him yet, he took it upon himself to religiously check on my family's well-being while I was deployed to Iraq during a 13-month combat tour until I returned home safely. I will always cherish our memories, especially the impact he had on my life for two decades as another father figure, and I feel spiritually blessed to have said my goodbye to him a day before he passed.

My family extends our most sincere condolences to the entire Diaz family for this profound loss, and may you find comfort in the memories you enjoyed with Tino and the example he set for all of us to emulate. May God grant him eternal peace. Familia Espinal

PAPA TINO as we called him leaves a tremendous legacy. We join the Diaz Family in celebrating such a unique life. In my eyes, I considered papa Tino a true Legend & Icon in the West Coast Dominican Community. He will be missed and remembered forever . Rest in Peace Papa Tino
