She attended two years at Waubonsee Community College and was a member of the Alpha Beta Pi honors society. She was working toward getting her real-estate license and enjoyed working with her mother as a Realtor assistant. Rachel had a great interest in history and planned to be a professor.She is survived by her father, Joel R. Heaton of Geneva; her mother, Veronica of Geneva; a brother, Cheyne; a sister, Nikki; her paternal grandmother, Doris of Wheaton; and her maternal grandparents, Wallace and Aletta Taylor of South Africa.She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Glen.The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main St., (corner of Routes 64 and 25), St. Charles.
