Mrs. Rachel C. Lappin

Rachel C. Lappin, 87, of Salisbury died Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Born in Mt. Vernon she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Cecelia Webster Costen. She is survived by three children, Linda Purcell, of Salisbury, John Riggin and his wife Linda, of Delmar, MD, and Kathleen Marshall and her husband Gary, of Salisbury; six grandchildren, Kim Botdorf, Shawn Riggin, Joe Lappin, Lauren Kirby, Justin Marshall, and Elliot Marshall; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice James; and daughter-in-law, Ann Scott Lappin. She is also survivied by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Lappin; son, Joseph M. Lappin; and two sisters. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, 2 pm at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 E. Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21804. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will follow in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
