Many years ago I went up to Milbridge and bought some land on Ray's Point Road. I always stayed at the Red Barn. I most of all enjoyed talking to Rachel each day. Once I had car trouble Lost keys) and Rachel lent me hers for the day. She wouldn't take a dime so I gave her a photograph of her cat sitting on top of the neon Red barn sign.

We were very sorry to learn of Rachel's passing. She was a great lady. We shall miss seeing her and talking with her whenever we stay at her beloved Red Barn Mote.

She and our mom - Evelyn which were such dear friends. It is comforting to know that they are reunited for a cup of tea. But thinking of her grandchildren and their families as they grieve the loss of a very special person.
