Raina Yvette Williams was born on March 7, 1971 in Los Angeles, California, to Brenda Greene and the late Ervin Williams, Sr.
Raina graduated from George Washington Preparatory High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. Her goal was to be a social worker who would bridge the gap between the needy and underprivileged and the resources they need to progress.
Raina had a number of hobbies, but she most enjoyed making homemade soap and sewing. You could often find her selling her creations at an area craft show. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family while trying her hand at a round of karaoke. She had a beautiful singing voice and could hold her own among the best of vocalists. She especially enjoyed spending time at the beach or fishing on a nearby lake with her husband and brother.
Raina married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Hatchett II, on August 3, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their union brought together a blended family with five beautiful children. She always made time for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her kindness, her positive nature and beautiful smile will be dearly missed.
Raina died on Monday, October 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin.
Left to cherish her memory are her loyal husband, Thomas; two sons, Marquis Pearson of Douglasville, Georgia and Thomas Hatchett III of Los Angeles, California; three daughters - Kaiyonna and Calihari Oliver of Douglasville and Daishanee Hatchett of Los Angeles, California; her mother, Brenda Greene of Douglasville, Georgia; her brother, Ervin Williams, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters - Lorna Williams of Victorville, California and La Vega Greene of Douglasville, Georgia; grandmother, Inez Taliver of Beaufort, South Carolina two grandchildren - Vayden and Thomas Hatchett IV of Los Angeles; her mother-in-law, Annette Hatchett of Los Angeles and sister-in-law, Mia (Ronnie) Smith of San Bernadino, California; one niece, Andrea Oard of Victorville, California; six nephews – Andre and Aaron Oard of Victorville, California, Jermaine and Jermarri Hatchett and Ronald and Zachary Smith, all of San Bernadino, California and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at The Church at Chapel Hill in Douglasville, GA, with Dr. Grady Morris and Dr. Tyrone Wise officiating.

I met Raina at a craft show 3 weeks ago. We shared ideas about our different crafts and decided after speaking a few days later to merge our crafts and do some bazaars. Well God had his plan and it did not include us doing bazaars, at this time. I feel that we will one day do those shows and we will do well.
Raina is already setting up her craft shows in heaven and will be an absolute pro when I see her again. Rest in Peace Raina.
Your new friend Lynn
