PASTOR (REV.) RALPH HART OF DETROIT, MICHIGAN FUNERAL SERVICE IN DALLAS, TX. TUESDAY, JULY 19, 2011 Rev. Ralph Leon Hart passed away peacefully on July 11, 2011 in Branson, MO. Surrounded by his wife, family and friends. He pastored LIBERTY TEMPLE CHURCH IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN for 54 years. He was born Sept. 1, 1920 in Alba, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mom & dad James & Annie; his sisters and brothers, Lena, Sonny, Alma, Maurice and Billy Joe. Survivors include his wife, Rev. Melba Hart; two brothers, Rev. Doyle Hart of Los Angeles, Ca, Rev. Raymond Hart and wife Evelyn of Nashville, TN; three children, Linda Hart Forster & husband Bill Forster of New York, Garry and wife Masako of Las Vegas, Nevada and Larry of Las Vegas, Nevada; one grandchild Daniel of Las Vegas, Nevada. He will also be missed by his nephews and nieces, and other relatives. Rev. Hart was pronounced dead in Dallas, Texas at the age of 16, when he suffered a fractured skull from being hit by an automobile as he was riding his bicycle. He was a Western Union Messenger. His father being a minister prohibited the Parkland Hospital staff from giving him any medical attention. Even though his mother and father had been told he was dead when they arrived at the Parkland Hospital, a short time later they discovered there was still a little life in him, even though they were told we don’t have much hope for him to live till morning. His father said, God will take care of him. His father summoned an ambulance and removed him to their home, after forbidding either hospital attendants or Western Union physicians from giving medical attention. His father and mother led a prayer service for their son and God raised him up and healed him. He never forgot what God had done for him. He soon realized that God had called him to preach. As a young preacher he started out in a tent having meetings. He had a burning desire to see people saved and healed. He helped in Mission work. He was on international TV and daily radio broadcast. He spoke to various denominations across the United States and abroad. He wrote 64 books, and had a national magazine, The Voice of Liberty. One of the greatest high points in his life was The Hart Brothers Convention held each year. His favorite saying was “God breathed faith into my life, and I cannot doubt him He will surely be missed by all of his relatives and friends.
