Popoff Bobby (Robert)
October 27, 2016
Mr. Loffmark taught me Commercial Law in 1972/73 year at UBC and he was by far my favourite professor of my 4 year commerce degree program 3 years at the University of Saskatchewan and 1 year at UBC where I completed my degree. He was just before that Minister of Health and MLA under WAC Bennett. On the second day of the semester he knew everyones name in Class. Mr. Loffmark was so much fun and kept the class roaring and learning. Ralph helped me Administer my fathers estate, just over the phone a couple times a couple years after I graduated and I went to Saskatchewan, Queens Printer Regina etc. A few years later I bumped into him at Granville Island and what a treat that was.
Rest in peace Mr. Loffmark

In memory of a former colleague in the B.C. Legislature, Ralph Loffmark.
We send our sincere sympathy to Gregory and Carl and families. Your Dad was a very good citizen and was very proud of you both. We remember his delight in teaching you cribbage when you were so young! We were in awe of your ability.
We send our thoughts to your Aunt Dorothy and your dear Mother Barbara.
Ralph was an outstanding educator and will be remembered by many.

One of my most vivid memories at UBC was a law lecture by Ralph. He used as an example the sale of a watch from one classmate to another. What a brilliant day! By the time he was finished half the class was emotionally invested the transaction was not legal and the other half felt the opposite way, just the way he planned it. He was a great guy and a super professor.

So sorry to hear about Ralph's passing. I typed his book on the Tax and Estate Planning and several other work. He and Barbara became good friends of mine. Please give my condolences to her and, of course, I am thinking of you, Gregory and Carl.
