Ralph Massad Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 17, 2011.
KILGORE — Mass of Christian burial for Ralph A. Massad, 50, of Kilgore, will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011, at Christ the King Catholic Church. He died Monday, July 11, 2011, of an apparent heart attack at his home.
Ralph was born November 9, 1960, in Tyler, Texas, the youngest of five children to Kelly and Bena Massad. He was a 1978 graduate of Kilgore High School. While attending Kilgore College, he was honored to be a Rangerette Manager.
Ralph enjoyed selling cars for a number of years at various dealerships throughout East Texas, and he regarded his many customers as friends. He was currently employed as the box office manager of the Oil Palace in Tyler, a position he truly loved because it gave him an opportunity to interact with a variety of people.
He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church from birth and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Though he never married or had children of his own, he was a doting uncle and was actively involved in the lives and activities of his siblings and their children. "Uncle Ralph" leaves a void that will never be filled, but his gentle, loving spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and the many friends whose lives he touched.
Mr. Massad is survived by his beloved family: two sisters, Donna and her husband, Dr. Jerry Naifeh, of Dallas, and Shelley and her husband, G. Michael Dill, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Kelly and his wife, Laurene Massad, of Plano, and John Michael Massad of Lufkin; eight nieces and nephews, Christopher Naifeh of Dallas, Anne Marie Dill Maitland of Dallas, Matthew Naifeh of Dallas, Kelly J. Massad of Plano, Raymond Massad of Plano, Gregory Naifeh of Dallas, Mary Elizabeth Dill of Tulsa and Christina Massad of Plano; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
His family would like to acknowledge with love and gratitude the lifelong loving attention given to their family by Orease Smith.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. The family will receive friends from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011, at the funeral home.
