It was such a blessing to know Ralph. He had such a beautifully dynamic way about him. He was always very approachable, loving, and kind. Looking back on my friendship with this beautiful man...he was magical to me. His spirit is one to be adored, cherished, and honored. Ralph to me, embodied a wonderful friend, an awesome worker, a big brother I could talk to anything about in my life with, a comedian, a teacher, a philosopher, a professor, an intercessor...he was the best version and the definition of a helping hand, and possessed a rare goodness that you couldn´t get enough of. While there were many things I had the opportunity to learn from Ralph, there were three distinctions of wealth that
he conveyed to me which though I may not regularly practice but should, will always be unforgettable: 1. Always buy yourself something big or small with every paycheck you receive, not because you can, but as a gift to yourself to remind you of the hard work you do. 2. If you got a twenty in your wallet...you´re good. 3. Being rich is a mindset not a dollar sign. True wealth is determined by how well you can enhance an individuals, spiritual, mental, and emotional state and how they in turn have the ability to exchange that same energy with you. Take that enriching interaction and multiply both sides of those efforts by as much as you can...now you´ve got something!
I am going to miss Ralph something terrible. He meant so much to me and so much to so many others. My heart goes out to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. I cannot say enough about this wonderful man. I´m so grateful God blessed me with the opportunity to know Ralph Outling.

I am so saddened and heartbroken to hear about the passing of Ralph "Rico" Outling. As we were co-workers at Menards in the outside lumberyard, we quickly became very close. Ralph was like a Brother to me. Throughout our time working together, we were always there to help each other. We also hungout a lot outside of work, such as going to Chicago White Sox games, getting something to eat, catching a movie, or just hanging out by the house talking. I enjoyed working with him, as well as our time outside of work. We became such great friends. Ralph had such a positive outlook on life and a welcoming personality to all he came in contact with. It hurts so much of his passing, I will miss him dearly. We have lost our beloved one, a life linked with our own, and day by day I will miss you Ralph, as I walk through life alone.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Ralph. I haven`t seen him for a number of years, but he was always so friendly when we did meet and shared a hug. I knew him from the time he was a young child at St. John`s Lutheran Church, as my husband was the pastor there. I was fascinated by all that I read about him in his obituary. I know he will be missed by so many. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. God's blessings. Love, Helen Brandt
