Ramona Karlisa Brown, 36, of Peoria, passed away at 1:25 am on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Bella Vista Care Center in Peoria Heights.
She was born on January 15, 1975 in Peoria, IL to LeRoy Mitchell and Valina Brown. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Charley Wilson Sr., paternal grandmother, DeVora Johnson, one sister, Kiale-Ta Miller and one aunt, Gerturde Wilson.
Surviving are her parents, Valina Brown and LeRoy Mitchell both of Peoria, maternal grandmother, Vivian Wilson, paternal grandfather, LeRoy Mitchell Sr., three sisters, Donna Miller (Eliot Wells) of Peoria, Malissa Brown of Peoria and Kimberly Corder of Indianapolis, IN, one brother, Christopher Corder of Indianapolis, IN, three nieces, Donesha, Patricia, and Dymond, one nephew, Eliot Jr., a close aunt, Vanessa Myles of Peoria, her good friend, Willie Bell McAfee of Peoria, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ramona worked in the Dietary Department at Proctor Hospital for over 10 years and then worked the last three years in the Receiving Department for Morton, Caterpillar. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Peoria and a member of the UAW Local 974.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Henry Bolden II officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
