Randall Raydon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 19, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randall (Randy) Merle Raydon (Wichita, Kansas), born in Carthage, Missouri, who passed away on April 18, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Randy was born April 17, 1963, to Rex M. and Wanda (Pippin) Raydon in Carthage MO.

Randy was a man of many talents. He had an artistic talent in drawing and writing poetry. He was a welder, intricate welder, painter, mechanic and could fix most anything.

Fishing was his passion. He could go every day and not tire of it. Enjoyed watching football and baseball.

He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family more than anything.

Randy never met a stranger and was willing to help when he could.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents: Rex Merle Raydon and Wanda (Pippin) Hanson, grandparents Merle and Allene Raydon, grandparents Orville and Opal Pippin.

He's survived by:
Wife: Terri (Tibbits) Raydon
Daughters: Samantha (Josh) Schreiner, April Marbut
Son: Ryan Tibbits
Grandchildren: Kyle, Layla, Kota, Axel, Kole, Andrea, Jessica, Trace
Great Grandchildren: Kinzlee, Taelon, Eymbery, Tatum Marie
Siblings: Lane (Melanie) Raydon, Angie (Jeff) Paullus, Leslie Robertson, Lisa Robertson
Stepmother: Carla Raydon

A special thank you to all the caregivers, including Phoenix Hospice, over the years of care at Vintage Park at Waterfront, where he lived for the past seven plus years.

REMEMBRANCE

"THE FISHERMAN'S LAMENT"

IN THE SOLACE OF HEAVEN'S SHORE,
A FISHERMAN CASTS HIS LINE ONCE MORE,
SEEKING SOLACE AMIDST THE SKIES,
WITH TEARS THAT GLISTEN IN HIS EYES.
HE DREAMS OF DAYS GONE BY TOO FAST,
OF FISHING TRIPS, NOW IN THE PAST,
BUT AS HE CASTS INTO THE UNKNOWN,
HE FEELS THE PRESENCE, NOT ALONE.
FOR IN EACH TUG ALONG THE LINE,
A WHISPERED MESSAGE, SO DIVINE,
HIS LOVED ONES FISH BESIDE HIM STILL,
IN THE TRANQUIL WATERS WHERE TIME STANDS STILL.

Randy was a friend of mine, for many years. He was older than me so I looked to him like a father figure. He has given me advice many, many times. It was always advice worth taking. He also taught me to work on my car quite a bit. He didn't just do it for, me he taught me how to do it. We went fishing a few times. He's the one that taught me how to bass fish. Before that I had only gone catfishing and Crappie fishing. I fell in love with bass fishing thanks to him. He was always a good friend.
When he had his back surgery (one of his back surgeries) and they had messed up on the hardware in his back that's when we became close. I would bring him snacks and foods and soda pop. Things he really wasn't supposed to have but desired because he was in the hospital. He always talked about his kids and his grandkids. I have to admit, I can understand why because they are all wonderful. He was the kind of friend that no matter how much time had passed or how long it had been since we had seen one another we could always sit down and it was like we were never apart. We could sit and talk about intricate things. Or we could sit and just talk about the great many things, the great kind of nothings that makes friendships worth having. I will always miss you my friend until I see you again. And as always. Whether you're here on Earth or up in heaven. I will continue to love you...more today...less than tomorrow. Always and forever my friend.
