Randall Shaia Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 2 to Feb. 12, 2023.
Randy was born January 29, 1961 in Winter Park, Florida. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 2, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Gayle and Thomas Michael Shaia and younger brother Jonathan Shaia. He is survived by his daughter Ashley James and son, Mark Hughes, his grandchildren, Jackson and Decker James, Karsynn, Luke and Emma Kate Hughes. His brother and sister in law, David and Stephanie Shaia, their children, Cassidy, Candace, Catelyn and Luke. His brother George Shaia and his children, Casandra, Carrie and Lexie. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and very dear friends the Wray family.

Randy never met a stranger, he had countless friends. He was an incredibly talented baseball player who instilled the love of the game in his children and lived for watching his grandchildren play ball and share the love of Jesus. He will always be remembered for his amazing sense of humor, contagious laughter, selfless spirit and his endless optimism.

We had no idea his heart of gold was failing until he was hospitalized recently after helping save his coworker's life. We will miss him greatly, but we find comfort in knowing we will see him again one wonderful day!

Randy was a dear friend, and I loved working with him whenever we had the opportunity to do jobs together.
He had such a positive attitude and zest for life than I loved being around him.
I will certainly miss him and can't wait to see him again.

My husband, Wayne Gayle, is Randy and David's (and George) Uncle (Caroline's 1/2 brother) and I am their Aunt. We love them very much but lost touch for years and finally found them again on FB, which made both of us very happy. Wayne just recently passed away and now he and Randy are up in Heaven reminiscing and watching over all of us. Rest easy, Randy and Hubby, for we will see you both again when God calls us Home. Remember all the fun, love and good times Randy gave to each of us and that he is FINE now.
My love to David, Stephanie and the whole family!!! They are both fine where they are - it is those of us left here that will miss them and will keep looking for them to walk into the room or listen for their voice...it is not easy to be left here. GOD BLESS!!!!!!
