Randall Law Smith

Randall Law Smith (Randy) transitioned on to his next adventure on 5/13/23 due to complications from a fall. Surrounded in love, his three children sang to him as he departed this existence. Randy navigated life with challenges and gifts. He was creative, intelligent, and incredibly talented though never accepted credit for the many amazing things he did. He was passionately proud of his three children and loved them more than life itself. He was a wonderful brother and business partner to his sister, and a loving son to his parents. He grew up in Santa Cruz and enjoyed riding motorcycles and surfing. In his twenties, he took a trip to the Hawaiian Islands and met the mother of his children where they raised them before returning to the mainland. Randy worked in automotive management most of his life until the later years when he partnered with his sister to run the family soap business. Also later in life, Randy took up painting with acrylics and creating realistic models of buildings. He built a stunningly accurate scale replica of family friend, Jack English's cabin, located in the Ventana Wilderness. He is survived by his children Alex (Faith), Alisi, Siale (Ricardo), his parents Kathleen and John (Tina), his sister Andrea (Jim), his grandchildren, Laniyah, Ricardo Jr. and Kainoa, and his adorable tuxedo cat - Julian. We are firm in the belief that our dear Randy is currently sitting on a white sandy beach waiting for his family to join him. There will be a private family ceremony and scattering at a later date. We encourage others to honor Randy in their own way.
