KAMILLE D. (BLAKE) KURSETH Cedar Rapids Kamille D. (Blake) Kurseth, 49, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Sally's On Broadway located at 263 Broadway St. in Springville. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family. Kamille was born on June 21, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Marshall and Karen (Gritton) Blake. She graduated from Lin-Mar High School in 1991 and studied Early Childhood Development at the University of Northern Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Kurseth on Aug. 9, 2003, at the home of her brother in Springville, Iowa. Kamille had worked with the special education program at Garfield Elementary School in Cedar Rapids. She loved animals, and from this love came Kamille's volunteering and fostering with Last Hope Animal Rescue. As an organ donor, Kamille gave the kindest gift of all so that another person may live. Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Rob of Cedar Rapids; children, Marshall and Koen Kurseth of Cedar Rapids; father, Marshall Blake of Cedar Rapids; and brothers, Kirby (Michelle) Blake of Tipton and Kyle (Monica) Blake of Springville. Preceding her in death was her mother, Karen. A general memorial has been established in her memory. Online condolences are welcome at www.iowacremation.com under obituaries.

You have my sympathy. I remember her as a little girl at Marlene's. She was a sweetheart. I am a friend of the Blake family.
