Randy Balcom

Randy Balcom, resident of Treasure Island, Florida, passed away January 16, 2018, the day he turned 65. A Baton Rouge native, Randy was born in 1953 and attended Baton Rouge High school. Randy was owner and manager of Duke's Party Rentals & Convention Services. He was also influential in Baton Rouge ManPower Inc. which he ran with his mother. When Randy left Baton Rouge, he went into yacht sales with his dear friend at Bill Browning Yacht Sales. Randy enjoyed fishing, boating, and the Gulf of Mexico. He suffered a serious head injury about a year prior to his death, but was graciously given a second chance. Randy studied Jesus Christ through the laminated 23 Psalm he carried in his pocket. He spent his life searching for God surrounded by dear friends on the Gulf. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Balcom, whom he missed dearly and spoke of often. He recently celebrated her birthday on New Year's Day with close friends Russ, Tina, and Richard. He will be lovingly remembered by his friends, sister Carolyn Smith, nephew Carl Cotten, great-niece Amelia Cotten, and great nephew Jake Cotten.
