On March 25, 2023, Randy Colvin passed away after a good fight with cancer.
Randy was born on June 7, 1955 to William “Bud” and Ester Hayes Colvin. He was the baby of nine children.
Randy had many passions. He loved fishing. In the summers he could be found at Ririe Reservoir, Birch Creek or at a private pond catching the big ones with his nephew Rick Colvin.
Randy drove truck for over 40 years. For the last years of his life, he worked for Morrow Express. He considered Taylor, Scott and Tanner not only his bosses, but his friends and family.
Randy loved cooking and he was always watching the Food Channel, cooking food, and delivering food to everyone.
Randy was a big tender hearted tough guy. If you needed money, he would give you his last dollars. He would also never tell you no.
He had 30 or so nieces and nephews. If they ever needed directions to anywhere in the U.S. he would tell them from the top of his head as he had traveled all over in his big truck.
Randy was the prankster of the family. He was always doing something to someone.
Randy is survived by the love of his life, and life partner, Anna Pearson. She had to pass the application process and interview with his favorite nieces; she didn’t even fill out an application and she passed. The favorite niece was the one he was talking to at the time.
Randy is also survived by his brothers Richard (Krista) Colvin of Daytona Beach FL, and Val Colvin of Idaho Falls, ID; his brothers from other mothers: Rod Briggs, Keith Waters and Dean Smith.
He was preceded in death b his parents, son Jody, brothers William, Mike and Paul; sisters Mary, June and BeAnn.
To all that knew Randy you know that he will be missed; his jokes, his kindness and his friendship.

Randy was more like a grandpa to me than a Uncle. There wasn't a weekend growing up that doesn't have my dad Rick and Uncle Randy, grow up going to the truck stop with them then out to the yard to clean and wash semis of course us kids went to we could go to the park lol. Then in the summer out on the boat up at Blacktail Reservoir. He will be truly missed!! Love you Uncle Randy.
