Our beloved mother, grandma, and great grandma, Randy DeHart (Pierson), passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 24, 2025 after surviving a major stroke and brain surgery. She was 79 years of age.

Randy was the heart of our home and family. She is survived by her three children, Heather (Dave) Overmyer, Bethany (Richard) Schreier, and Michael (Anila) DeHart, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and her brother Jeff (Amy) Pierson. She was preceded in death by her soulmate, John DeHart and by her adoring parents, Ray J. and Ann Chard Pierson.

Randy was born on April 19, 1946 in Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. From a young age, Randy was known for her unwavering kindness, strong wit, and deep love for both her family and friends.

On February 14th, 1968 she married her loving husband of 56 years, John whom she built a life of love, devotion and joy with.

Randy loved to travel with John and visit countries all over the world. She had traveled to Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Prague, Cabo San Lucas, Albania, UK and Ireland. She also loved her many trips around the US with her grandchildren and John and spending as much time as she could with her family and friends. She was an avid reader, and even fulfilled her lifetime dream of becoming a published author, finishing her book earlier this year. Randy was a loving and welcoming wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and an excellent friend. Randy will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all.

A visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, on August 9, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a graveside service in the Liberty Cemetery, 3929 North 3500 East, Liberty, Utah.
