Randy Kettler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 25, 2025.
Randy Ray Kettler, son of Norman and Illene Kettler, passed away on April 30th, 2025. Randy graduated from Prairie View High School in 1972 and then worked on the family dairy farm until 1982. He worked various carpentry and construction jobs in Miami county before deciding to further his education at Emporia State University and graduating in 1992. He started his career at Allen Community College in Iola, KS and worked many years in the education field thereafter.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Randy found joy in nature and family. He loved fishing, camping, and gardening and spent countless hours "piddling around" outside whenever he could. Randy was known for his tough love, but those who were close to him knew how loyal he was and how quick he was to lend a helping hand to others.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Illene Kettler. He is survived by his wife, Treva Kettler; children; Joshua Kettler, Jeremy Kettler with wife Heather, Carly Reiner with husband Chase, Emma Gilligan with husband Cameron, Regan Gilligan with husband Benjamin, Jacob Kettler, Jaron Kettler with wife Meagan, River Kettler, Mattea Kettler, Ruby Kettler, and Jameson Kettler; grandchildren Damien Bosler, Elijah Kettler, Caleb Reiner, Josiah Gilligan, Alyssa Gilligan, Caroline Gilligan, Marcel Kettler, and Kynleigh Collins; brother Kevin Kettler with wife Connie; niece Chelsie Stainbrook; nephew Jason Kettler; as well as many other beloved friends and extended family members.

Randy's life touched many hearts and minds throughout Kansas and beyond. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
